Run Downloady.exe from this complete folder. Keep DownloadyBridge.exe,
browser/, media/ and licenses/ beside it. Closing the main window keeps
Downloady in the system tray. Choose Exit from the tray menu to quit.

Your library
Add URL accepts a clipboard link, multiple URLs and advanced request options.
Use the Library, Active, Queued, Paused, Completed and Needs attention tabs.
Filter by category or queue. File type is beside the filename. Status icons
identify active, paused, completed, waiting, failed and missing files.
Refresh checks completed files; this also happens when the window opens.
Press F2 to rename a file. Drag completed files into File Explorer or onto
Categories to move them while retaining their Downloady records.

Toolbar and appearance
Quiet mode suppresses automatic progress windows and completion sounds.
View > Toolbar > Small icons changes toolbar size. Theme follows Windows.
English and Vietnamese are available; default category names stay in English.

Browser integration
Open Help > Chrome / Firefox Integration and follow the two steps.
Chrome: open chrome://extensions/, enable Developer mode, use Load unpacked
and choose browser/chrome. Reload the extension after updating Downloady.
Firefox: open about:debugging#/runtime/this-firefox, choose the temporary
addon loader and select browser/firefox/manifest.json. Restarting Firefox
removes a temporary addon. Permanent installation requires Mozilla signing.
Finally select Connect Downloady in the application. The popup tests the
complete browser connection. DownloadyBridge.exe is the local message host.
It connects the browser to Downloady and is required for integration.

The Downloady media button detects video and audio during playback, using
browser requests and page metadata. Lists show filename, type, size and
quality when available. Drag stays inside the media container. Clicking
outside closes the list. Unknown and zero sizes are hidden.
YouTube SABR, supported HLS/DASH VOD and compatible audio/video pairs are
handled without an external video extractor. Streams are joined without reencoding; containers
follow the source. Expired browser sessions require refreshing playback.
DRM content and live streams are not supported. A working test on one post
does not guarantee support for every video, account or future website change.

Portable use
Run Downloady-portable.cmd in a writable folder. Data stays in data/ and new
downloads default to Downloads/ beside the program. Portable mode does not
change Windows startup or browser registration. Existing paths are absolute.
Credentials protected by Windows DPAPI belong to the current Windows account.

Support
Donations are optional and do not change speed, features or privileges.
A valid signed donor code personalizes the thank you button. Invalid codes
are ignored. Shift click the thank you button to change the code.
Updates are checked at https://www.downloady.org/updates/windows-x64/stable.json.
The website must publish this endpoint before online update checks can work.
The update dialog shows version, url, published_at, sha256 and size in bytes.
Use a three part version (1.0.1), an HTTPS URL, an RFC 3339 publication date,
a 64 digit hexadecimal SHA256 and a positive integer byte count. Older feeds
without the last three fields display Not provided. Updates are opened in the
browser; Downloady does not automatically install or verify the downloaded file.

Distribution status
Downloady and DownloadyBridge use optimized Release builds without debug
symbols. The browser scripts are minified. The native binaries are unsigned;
Chrome Web Store publication and Firefox signing have not been completed.
FFmpeg is supplied as an unmodified BtbN build. Source and build-script links
for the pinned version are listed in licenses/OPEN-SOURCE.txt and
licenses/FFMPEG-NOTICE.txt. Downloady itself remains proprietary.
Keep all third party licenses intact. Their terms apply to those components.
