Extract the ZIP package
Keep DownloadyBridge.exe and the browser, media and licenses folders next to the application.

Run Downloady.exe
Add a URL or place it in a queue. Use Downloady-portable.cmd to store data beside the application.

Connect your browser
Open Help → Chrome / Firefox Integration in the app and follow the extension instructions below.
The Windows app is unsigned. Extensions are not published on the Chrome Web Store or signed by Mozilla. Verify the download source and SHA-256 before use.
Install Downloady extensions for Chrome and Firefox
Chrome — load the unpacked extension
- Open
chrome://extensions/; enable Developer mode. - Select Load unpacked →
browser/chrome. - Downloady → Help → Chrome / Firefox Integration → Connect Downloady.
- Open the extension and check its connection status. Reload the extension from the extensions page after each update.
Firefox — load a temporary extension
- Open
about:debugging#/runtime/this-firefox. - Load Temporary Add-on →
browser/firefox/manifest.json. - Downloady → Help → Chrome / Firefox Integration → Connect Downloady.
- Load the extension again after restarting Firefox.
Portable mode does not automatically register the Bridge. Keep the app running to receive browser downloads.
